Involved in Our Community

Med-Save Pharmacy Nicholasville is a proud supporter of the Share a Smile Holiday Food Drive (benefitting Jessamine Food Pantry and the Salvation Army

Dr. Fei and Dr. John care deeply about the residents of Jessamine County, and they give back to the community as much as possible.

Studies show that for every dollar spent at stores like ours, 73% of it stays in the county, as opposed to 40% at a national chain. We’re proud of that, and we want to continue to make that kind of positive impact on the community. A sampling of local organizations Med-Save Pharmacy Nicholasville supports:

Local & Experienced

At Med-Save, a member of the Medicine Shoppe® family, we care about the well-being of our patients and our community. Dr. Fei has been a part of the Jessamine County community and the Med-Save family since 2012, and Dr. John, a Nicholasville native, opened his first pharmacy here in 2006. Many of our team members were born here, and those who came here later in life say they can’t imagine living anywhere else. Whether you are a long time resident or just discovering what a wonderful place Jessamine County is to live, work and play, our trained and caring staff is happy to provide you with the absolute best in pharmaceutical care. We truly are here to help you!

I have worked with Med-Save Pharmacy since 2012. I love working as an independent pharmacist because we not only fill prescriptions but also we truly care about our patients and their well-being. Our patients know that we will always watch out for them and go the extra mile for their benefits. We make sure to tailor our services to suit our patients’ individualized needs. Our mission at Med-Save is to help our patients live a healthier lifestyle.

Dr. John McDaniel, Pharmacist

I am a 2004 UK COP grad and completed a Community Pharmacy Residency where I attained my Teaching and Learning Certification the following year.

I’ve worked as a pharmacist since 2004 and as the owner of Med-Save Pharmacy Wilmore since 2006. My top priority is taking care of people. No matter what problem a patient is having, we can help them work through it, and get past it. At Med-Save Pharmacy, we don’t work for a big company—we work for our patients. Creating a connection with every single one of our patients, and delivering the highest level of personalized care—that’s what being a pharmacist at an independent pharmacy is all about.

One of my favorite things about living in Jessamine County is the small-town atmosphere. It’s also one of my favorite things about working at Med-Save Pharmacy Nicholasville. We get to know our customers here, and we care about them. We are never judgemental, and we treat all of our patients just as we treat our own family members and friends—with respect and care.”

Before becoming a pharmacy tech, I worked as a phlebotomist, an EKG tech, and a licensed IV therapy tech. I grew up here in Nicholasville, and I really enjoy working at Med-Save Nicholasville because we’re locally owned and our patients are never just a number. We’re truly a part of the Nicholasville community, and we care about our patients.

I’ve been a member of the Jessamine County community since 1975, and I’ve known Dr. John and Dr. Fei for years. I am a former Professor of Worship Arts at Asbury University, and I’m excited that my work at Med-Save Pharmacy Nicholasville also offers me the chance to serve and care for others.

Med-Save really chose me, and I am thankful to be a part of this team. I enjoy delivering to patients and showing them that here at Med-Save, we care about them. Whether I am out and about delivering or working in the store, I love the friendly atmosphere here.
